All-Around READing Dogs
Ohio ~ "Baby"

Belgian Malinois listening to a child read a story.

Baby is alert for the next reader!

Baby, however, is quite content to lie on her blanket and listen to stories. She and her owner, Karin, have been a R.E.A.D.® team since 2004. They volunteer in the greater Cleveland area of Ohio, specifically Bay Village and Olmsted Falls. Baby seems to have a really great time with all the elementary school readers.

Baby, a mixture of several breeds, was born in 2002 and is five years old in this picture. Baby is another successful rescue dog. She was adopted from the Cleveland Animal Protective League when she was only 5 weeks old and has been a wonderful part of her adoptive forever family.

This rescue dog, now a certified therapy dog, is part Belgian Malinois.

Another lucky resue pup that
became a wonderful therapy dog.

Although we don't know her exact background, we believe she is part Belgian Malinois. The Belgian Malinois is known to be a confident dog, neither shy nor aggressive in new situations. They may be reserved with strangers but are affectionate with their own people. They typically are very high-energy dogs that need a great deal of physical exercise and mental stimulation. They have a strong desire to work and are quick and responsive to commands from their owner.
