Meet Beau, a friendly Goldendoodle born January 10, 2014. He’s called a “doodle” because his mom was a Golden Retriever and his dad was a Moyen Poodle. If you’ve never heard the term “Moyen Poodle,” it means a fourth size of poodle—between miniature and standard—a distinct breed more common in Europe. Another fun fact: Poodles actually originated in Germany, not France, and the name is evolved from German words like “pudeln,” or “pudelhund,” meaning to splash in water.
Yay, it's Therapy Day!
Confident, intelligent, joyful, friendly, and very playful, Beau combines the best attributes of his mixed heritage. His naturally goofy spirit brings laughter and love to whomever he comes in contact with, and he would never say no to a chin scratch or a tummy rub.
Oh please, one more time.
Beau is a natural as a therapy dog and loves visiting people.
A member of Alliance of Therapy Dogs and a Reading Education Assistance Dog® (R.E.A.D.®, Beau visits children at an elementary school every week.
